Things To Do In And Around Schrobenhausen

Well, Schrobenhausen is not exactly a metropolis...actually it's far far from it..It's a fairly small town, none the less there are a few things to do.
It is worth walking along the old wall and there are a couple of museums. You will see I was telling the truth, there is actually an asparagus museum "Europaeisches Spargelmuseum"..since Schrobenhausen is the capital of German asparagus..ok, ok, I certainly will not expect you to visit it..
There are a number of bars and pubs around the centre and plenty of restaurants, local ones as well as Italian, Greek, Chinese and not to forget the good old Kebab shops...please believe me, the Kebabs are so tasty, you can eat them the whole day..not only for drunken nights out! It is worth walking through the back streets of the town centre since the best restaurants are hidden there! Oh and last time I was there, there were 4 ice cream shops...
If it is really hot and you have some time, there is also an outdoor swimming pool not far from the centre (Freibad). You can find out more about what you can do in town and the surrounding area here.
Apart from walking, drinking and eating, there is not much to do in Schrobenhausen, but you could always make a trip to Ingolstadt, a 20 minute train ride away, for some shopping, or to Augsburg, about 40 minutes on the train. For some information check this website.
